An informal carer is someone:

Who is not paid for the caring they do
Whose life is affected through caring for another person
Who could be a family member, friend or neighbour
Who does not necessarily live with the person
Who can be of any age

Carer’s Assessment of your needs, reviewed yearly
Flexible working hours if you have worked there for more than 26 weeks
The right to time off in emergencies, paid or unpaid
