Carers in Bedfordshire

Our Support for All Family Carers

Carers in Bedfordshire is a not-for-profit Registered Charity that exists to provide unpaid carers of any age throughout Bedfordshire with information, support, advocacy and training according to their needs.

You can register with us by visiting us or ringing us.  Alternatively you can click on the link contact@carersinbeds.org.uk and leave us a message - we will get back to you.

A trained carer support worker will help you with your enquiries or problems. A home visit can be arranged if required.

We now run support groups in Ampthill, Bedford, Biggleswade, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard and Shefford.

Am I a Carer?

Do you help a member of your of your family, a friend or a neighbour cope with illness, disability (physical or mental) or addiction to drugs or alcohol and you don't earn a wage for your services?

Then you are a carer!

Many people do not see themselves as carers. They are simply someone's parent, partner, friend or child.

Whether or not you think of yourself as a carer, if you look after someone, no matter how old you are, then you may find the information on this website useful.

We asked carers what information they found difficult to access and what they found most useful. We have tried to include as much as possible without turning into an encyclopaedia.

If what you want is not included, or you are not sure if what you see is what you are looking for, just phone, email or write us a letter and we will do our best to troubleshoot your problems for you.
