Carers’ Support Groups meet regularly in Bedford, Biggleswade, Ampthill, Shefford, Houghton Regis and Leighton Buzzard to provide a social environment where carers can meet and enjoy themselves.

We organise several outings and many social events each year for carers and their cared for.

The charity runs a free training programme for carers and former carers which includes computer tuition, relaxation pampering sessions, armchair exercising, emergency first aid, understanding difficult behaviour and other subjects highlighted as being important to carers.

We also run several exciting projects

The Carers Cafe is for carers, their cared for and immediate family members of any age.

The Carers Grants and Young Carers Grants provides grants for carers to enjoy something for themselves to promote or improve their own health and well-being.

Parents Together is for parents caring for children aged 0 to 18 with a disability or additional need.

The Hub is for Young Adult Carers aged 16 to 25 and works in many areas that are important to the young people in helping them make the often difficult transition from childhood into adulthood.

The Young and Sibling Carers Project is for children aged 3 to 16 who care for someone or have a brother or sister with a disability or additional need.

The Mental Health Team is for adults who care for someone with a mental health related problem.

Military Veteran Carers are is support for those who care for someone who has a military background.

You can find more information on these by clicking on the links in the menu bar.

All our main services are free thanks to funding from local authorities and various charities. However, there are minimal charges for the Carers Cafe therapists and transport.

To avail yourself of any of our services, all you have to do is register with us, worth doing even if you would be grateful just for the information in our quarterly newsletter.
